Recognition

Anerkennung, made simple

Anerkennung is the official recognition of your Indian nursing qualification as equivalent to the German standard. It's required by law to work as a full nurse (Pflegefachfrau / Pflegefachmann).

If the authority finds a gap, you complete an adaptation period or a knowledge test (Kenntnisprüfung), and here's the good part: you can often start working as a nursing assistant and earn a salary while you finish.

We prepare your documents correctly the first time, so recognition doesn't bounce your file and delay you.

📋 Documents you'll typically need

  • Nursing degree / diploma & transcripts
  • Nursing council registration (RN)
  • Detailed syllabus & clinical training hours
  • Certified German translations
  • Proof of German language level
  • Passport & supporting documents

Honest answers

Nursing in Germany, your questions

The questions Indian nurses ask us most.

Often yes. Many nurses begin in Germany as a nursing assistant and earn a salary while completing recognition (an adaptation period or knowledge test). We guide you through which route fits your profile.

Usually B1 to begin the recognition and visa process, and B2 to take up the full nursing role and care for patients. We teach you from A1, around your schedule.

In most cases yes. The authority compares your training and clinical hours to the German standard. If there's a gap, you complete an adaptation period or knowledge test, both of which we help you prepare for.

Typically 12–18 months with the right guidance. The biggest variable is how quickly you progress in German, which is why we recommend starting classes early.

Family reunification is generally possible, subject to the legal requirements. Many nurses build a long-term life in Germany with their families.

We're honest: no ethical agency can "guarantee" a job. What we do is prepare you properly, connect you with real German employers, and support you through recognition, language and visa so you're a strong, hireable candidate.
